I think it's much better than that now:

"No political comments, hate speech or bigotry of any kind will be tolerated. Violations will be removed and posting privileges may be permanently revoked without notice."

I think this is working, not just in the categories specified, but in people's attitudes in general! I haven't has my ancestors insulted since I first saw this warning......but time will tell. Grin

To me, it's helpful 90%, and 10% the other.

I think most folks try to be helpful.

I ignore the others, so that sways my percentage.

I've found, by experience, that you can get too involved in some of these discussions. Nothing productive comes from it.

There are names that pop up in replies that I'll click on, even if I'm not interested in the main topic of the post. I know those names are gonna try to give helpful info, without running anyone else down, and I learn a lot from their input.

Well,I could tell you that when it's of certain subject matters it's best avoided,yes. If you go against the grain,you'll see the wrath of Tales.
