IH #16 chopper and heads

I have a #16 chopper with a corn head on it, a pick up head, and also a direct cut 5' hay head. The chopper runs smooth and works good with the corn head. I have never had either hay head on it. I am toying with the idea of selling this package but not sure what it's worth. All 3 heads are in excellent shape but been repainted. The chopper has been welded in a few places. I haven't personally seen other hay heads for this machine. I'll try to attach pictures. What do you guys think they are worth? Thanks in advance!

Advertise it through an IH collector medium such as Red Power Forum online. It looks pretty good from what you have shown but what people will pay will be based on how close to perfect it is which we can not tell at this point. I would think that it would be worth several hundred dollars and most likely more to the right person or persons. I wish I had the money as that would be right up my alley. Dad had all IH silo filling equipment and maybe that might not have been as good as a Gehl for example those were my childhood memories. Someday before ai get too old to care I would like to find a 40 blower and 61 wagon. The 50 forage harvester is still here waiting to be pretty'd up.

To an end user, not much at all. Maybe some buyers in north central MN, but most farmers use bigger equipment. I have a good Gehl CB600 that hasn"t seen use since 2001, and it isn"t worth much anymore, maybe a few hundred dollars. I have 3 hyd cyl on it, for header, spout, and hitch, and they might be worth more than the chopper, even though it works well. Simply no demand anymore. IH was never a powerhouse when it came to silage choppers, so maybe only collector value.

Dad had a 350 which is the same machine just newer. He had a one row corn head and the direct cut head that he used to green chop sudan grass. I still remember how the cutterhead dogs would spin and hum for several minutes after shutting it down. What are you thinking on price? I do not need it but it would be a neat toy. What I really would like is a 550 as it would be bigger and still be a usable machine. I am afraid the 16 would be to small to even use in our 200 bu corn. Tom
