looking for an American made 7' tiller. I think King Kutter and Taylor Way are such?
Also think REI, and Cherokee are Chinese made?
Suggestions welcome.

I brought a small 48 inch King Cutter last summer. It has made in America stickers all over it. It looks just like my Italian made First Choice 66 inch tiller I've had for probably ten years. It hasn't been through anything compared to my bigger tiller. The King Cutter is already dented all up from my rocks where the Italian job hasn't been phased by them. The 48 inch is made of lighter gauge steel although that could be because its a smaller unit and wasn't expected to be paired up with a 30 hp. tractor.

TSC sells them. I bought a 6' this year, thought about a 7' but read reviews on it and realized that everything is/appears to be the same, except the width. I think Bolens makes them as the service manual supplied with the unit had their name all over it. Was no name on the unit itself, even though internet ads show a house brand name.

Anyway, I've used it twice on about 15 acres behind 65 hp and it's a dream. I just finished my SS hay patch: About 1week of regrowth and 1 trip over it with my Hay King Pasture Renovator, which is a subsoiler type thing , 4 diggers on a unit that fits behind 6' spaced tires, then one trip with the tiller. That's it. Field is baby's behind smooth and (Houston Black Clay) largest clods are small enough to fit in your hand.

Seem to be on sale right now as they (TSC) has them listed for $1800 rather than the $2000 I paid this spring.

You need some self control using these things. Out of C4 range, I ran A1 and 2. Different soils, especially loams would run faster but I don't have loam. Gotta tell yourself that yeah it's slow but you are doing it all in ONE pass! Calculate the overall savings in that.

One more thing, running those gears at PTO rpm of 2600, 57 PTO hp, it was pulling the rpms down 150-200 when engaged, so it's doing the work.

One more thing, I put 85w-140 gear lube in mine.....gotta add lube to both gear boxes, none supplied. After my episode with trans-hydraulic fluid in a 4wd front end, I'm going with HD gear lube wherever I can.

I will second that. Got a BH gear drive 6' that will eat about anything you want to drive over.
Have you looked at Tarter in KY? They had a video on their website where they used one of their tillers to tear up a blacktop parking area, seemed to work okay.

Hard to find a till made from US parts. TSC tillers are made by King Kutter and Tater. Take a look at the LS tillers sold by LS tractor. I understand they are made a little better. We have a TSC Tater 72 inch behind a 50 HP compact with double reducer (16 speed) transmission. We have found it works best if you bottom plow first, chisel plow would work too. Our soil is clay and lots of stone. Shakes the heck out of the tiller....keep the bolts tight and fill with the heaviest lube you can find.

Salesman who sells Brush Hog and Landpride said to buy 2 TSC tillers and you would be further ahead.

We use it for food plots that are too small or remote to get the bigger equipment on.
