[b:ba32db25d5]We are looking for a manual for NH 273 baler, anyone know where I can find one? Getting one today - our Massey dies and we have hay to get DONE asap![/b:ba32db25d5]

hmmmm.....
Might have spoke too soon. Went out to shop and could not put my hands on it. Sorry! Will dig around and let you know.

Thank you! We need the parts on timing and anything to do with knotter.... the rest likely is universal? but those are what we need right now.

NH dealer will have them or be able to get them BTDT on many old machines. If they do not have them on hand and have to order it many times you can get them to copy a few pages from there manual

Every time someone asks about timing, I post this video that I found last year.

The manual helps, but here is an actual New Holland training video on knotter timing and such.

Youtube to the rescue.

There are times I wish I could view videos but since I am on dial up that does not happen

newholland.com/na. Follow the links to parts and service, then technical publications. You can buy a hard copy or PDF download for not much
money.

Not wanting to pile on a guy with troubles, let me say this to all those who do not have manuals for your balers, you will have troubles, some day, spend the money now and it may not be quite the emergency muffin is experiencing today. It just makes cent$$. gobble

Your New Holland dealer will print off the complete manual, usually for free. At least the dealer I deal with did that for me. I did spend a lot of money on parts to get a reliable baler.

Muffin...did you get manual/ info you needed locally?
Tried, but could not figure out how to send anything to you.
Know all too well how it feels to have equipment down. All I have is old and seems needs fixing ALL the time. Definitely agree with the opinion that it pays to have manual on each machine...
Hope you get it up and running. Good luck!

Even though I post that NH training video to people as a resource, I couldn't agree more. The manual is static, all the specs are there, you can flip through it with greasy fingers...make notes...write down part numbers, phone numbers...

You can refer to the manual working outside in less than perfect conditions; where you can't easily watch a video.

Watching the training video, does animate the concepts in the manual and give somebody the big picture of how the knotters operate.

Having both is the ultimate combination of detail and big picture.
