Lessen learned IH teeth and NH clip

So I tried to use NH clips and IH teeth on my hay rake. I found out right form the get go they would not work and they cause the basket to lock up and tires to slide on the ground. So now I know it cannot be done that way so many this might help some one else. The NH clips and NH teeth work well by the way

Must be a different angle in the mix someplace. If it ever quits raining up here I hope to give my IH rake with NH clips and tines a good workout.

The NH clips and teeth work just fine but if you use NH clips and IH teeth the spring part sits backwards of how they should and that in turn causes them to catch to bars of the rake

FWIW-I rebuilt an old NH 55 last winter. Bought used clips and teeth on Ebay very reasonable. Works fine.

I don't do Flea bay for more then one reason the biggest being I am on dial up so it takes forever to even get there. I am also switch it over the the NH clips and teeth as teeth break because the NH teeth are a whole lot bigger around so should last longer

IH teeth with the NH clips the spring faces forward so the spring hits the bars. The IH teeth with IH clips the spring faces toward the back as they do with the NH clips and teeth. Either of them when mounted the spring sits the same way just the mount area is backward of each other
