I believe he said it was a spearhead brand ? 4 x 4 baler . New belts and a new shaft bearing but the other shaft bearing is now wanting to squeal . $3000 as is .
I do not have to cut hay but I would like to not buy hay . maybe 50 - 100 bales a year and I don't care at this point how quick or pretty it is .
Is Spearhead a brand and are parts expensive .
Sorry all I know at this point is a brief conversation on the phone with the owners uncle .
If it is a crazy bad deal then i will not go over and insult his baler . It may be Ok if I cheek that certian parts are fully functional too .
I am looking to get a low dollar baler and can do a mechanical overhaul if it is a good baling machine . I will be using a Ford 3000 diesel . I am in no hurry to get the job done . I think I want 4 x 5 bales . Anything except square bales I would have to pick up by my self .
Which ones should I avoid ? lean to ?
Sorry , I know this question is vague . Thanks -Ken .
