54A thrower

I baled some hay last weekend, 1st time using plastic twine and I noticed that the twine has burn marks on it like the belts rubbed on it. I'm using 9000 plastic right now and was wondering if going to a heavier, like 9600 would make a difference. I've used throwers but not with plastic so wanting a little advice on using the combination.

Is it breaking bales?

I have a 273 with a 54a, once every blue moon (1000 bales or so) I get to the end of a windrow and a bale spends a few too many seconds in the wrong spot and it breaks twine but that is very rare.
That said, almost every bale has black scuff marks
On the twine where the belts idle for a second.

I purchased a used 273 with a 54a as a 2nd baler/backup a couple years ago.
That blasted thing broke every 5th bale by the belts burning up the string. From every way I could measure, it was adjusted identical to the other. Tried varying spring pressure and gaps and nothing seemed to help. A friend recommended a ramp in the bale chamber to change launch angle. I decided to sell the baler (more than I paid for it) instead.
And yes. I did tell the buyer of my trouble.

So. We use 9600 and always have. But as far as te baler goes. Sometimes it seems to be kind of random.

I had a 53A belt thrower. Only time I had burn problems was when getting to the end of the field, turning for the next windrow, with a bale almost ready to fly. Either shut off the baler, or speed up around the corner.
going straight down the windrow, either speed up or make the windrow bigger, so hay comes in at a decent rate.
