john deere 21 conditioner part needed

I am looking for a drive shaft (part #H 30080)for a jd 21 conditioner. Mine stripped out the coupling. Is there any way to repair the old drive shaft to take the tork from the pto? I'm afraid that welding the shaft to the coupler would not hold. Any suggestions? Would a drive shaft from a jd 22 or 32 (part # E 30330) fit the 21? I have tried to find the drive shaft but they are discontinued. Do you know anyone that might have a 21 sitting in the woods that might have a usable drive shaft?

A machine shop might be able to cut a key-way into the shaft and coupler, but it would be hard to get centered.

That the shaft on the right? I know a couple of machine shops that I think could make a new shaft.

Western Ohio, just off of I75 and US 33. I would first go to the place at Degraf, has more full time shop.
