Triangular PTO shaft tube size

Anyone have an opinion on this? This is on a 1950 Ford Jubilee with 3 blade finish mower. Just bought this with finish mower on it. It has 1 3/8 x 6 spline both shaft ends and an overrun shaft coupler. My concern is the shaft tube size is smaller and generally found on spreaders. Is the smaller shaft tube acceptable to be used on a finish mower with belts or is shaft tube too weak? Also could it be better smaller so to bend or break if you hit something instead of tractor hard parts breaking? Thank you for opinions.

#1 no such thing as a 1950 Ford Jubilee. Only tractor made by ford in 1950 was an 8N which has a flat head engine and a 4 speed transmission.
#2 the Jubilee was only made i n1953 and has a valve in hard engine and a 4 speed with live hyds.
As for the PTO shaft the newer triangle shafts are just fine other then if you do not keep them lubed well they will stick tight and are a so and so to free back up

According to Tractordata.com & my memory Ford Golden Jubilee NAA tractors were built in '53 & '54

Jubilee is the 1953 tractor being the 50th anniversary of Ford and in 1954 it was the NAA almost the same but not 100% the same.

Yep. Guess I didn't re read before posting but of course it's a 53. Still just curious if the smaller shaft tube is okay to use that typically was made to use with a spreader? Was just thinking it can't handle rpm and torque @PTO.

A finish mower should have a Series IV driveshaft if metric or 14 series domestic shaft. I don't care what tractor it is hooked to.

Great help. I assume this is for torque and sudden stop torque issues. How would one Identify the class of shaft tube? What typically is a spreader driveshaft class? This is what it has on it ( smaller triangular shaft tube. Don't know the size specs. I just know it's the smallest one readily available at most tractor supply places.
