So I can find the teeth for it most of the time. Ya I did have to drive 25 to another town to get them this time. But I also have a bunch of clips that are missing so it is missing a number of teeth because of that. I can find New Holland clip but if I use them the teeth go on sort of backwards. So I wonder if i buy some NH teeth and use the NH clips will they maybe go on and work correctly??

Well the clips and tines don't much care what color paint is on the bar they are bolted to. Will cost maybe $4 to find out. I say it works.

Ya I am thinking about buying one NH tooth and see how well it fits with the NH clip and if things work out maybe it will have a mix if IH and NH teeth. Right now I have 5 IH teeth mounted with the NH clips but there sor of backwards but at leas there on it so it will rake a tad bit better then no tooth in those areas

Old, I don't know what model IH rake you have but I have an IH model #35 hay rake and I run teeth and clips for a NH 256 rake on mine without any problems.

I have no idea what model it is. No tags on it any place. It does have 2 hand cranks to raise and lower it and has a cable flip part to kick it out of gear. I picked this rake up many many years ago and it just keep working

Hey Old, I had an IH rake, I'm thinking 35 and a New Holland 56 and the teeth I bought at Rural King would interchange on them. If memory serves me, I bought the clips I needed there or at Tractor Supply. I do believe they were both 4 bar rakes so the model #s might not be as I said. Sold one of them last year but I don't remember which one I kept and it's down at the shop and I'm up here at the house. I will check tho if you want me to today.

Old, I'm in the process of switching my IHC #14 rake to NH tines and NH clips. Seems to work fine. I'm buying NH tines for $1.39 each and 25 clips runs me $27.00 at a local dealer. Nuts and bolts are bulk items from TSC. The NH tines and clips sit at a slightly different angle but they are much heavier material and should last longer than IHC tines.

Now, updating the JD #894 rake to NH tines and clips...that's another story!

The IH teeth when I can get them in town from Orscheln's are $199 each but the NH teeth are $2.39. Clips i can buy a bag of 8 or 10 for around $9. Every thign I get from them for it are made in the USA.
I did pick up some teeth yesterday from TSC and those are made in Chine and that is also where i got the NH clips.
Next time I am in town I plan to buy one NH tooth and then see how it fits and f I think it will work I'll buy more and use them to fill in the empty places and then as teeth break I'll replace then with the NH teeth if they work out good. In this area tractor dealers sadly are on the decline big time. When I moved here almost 37 years ago we had 6 or 7 dealers and we now have only 3 which are real dealers not used tractor dealers

Shoot I have 3 rakes. One is a Ford rake that is 3 point and PTO drive which I do not use because of the rubber mount teeth and they do not last long and cost $4 each. I also have a 3 point 4 big wheel rake which a friend borrowed years ago and I cannot seem to get it back LOL and this IH rake which I have used now for a decade or so

Cripes,, I sell OEM NH teeth for less than that. And last time I checked, they were made in the USA.

Old, I got my tines off Ebay for $136.99 for 100 with free shipping from Reliable Aftermarket Parts. Must be they bumped the price for hay season or something because they want $50.00 more for the same thing now, just 2 weeks later. ???
