NH 650 Pivot Roll Modification

Sometimes you have to think outside of the box to improve things. I filled my new roll with 8# density expandable foam to help prevent denting. It takes a 2 cubic foot kit to do this.

so how does that affect the balance of it now??

Not too concerned with the balance. If you recall it is constructed with an overlapping seam on the roll surface. It couldn't have been even close to balance. Once I get it in tomorrow, I'll be able to check that out. The only thing I was concerned with was dent prevention.

With new bearings it doesn't even attempt to turn on its own. The stock floor roll is more out of balance. Time will tell if this works.
