Just bought a New Holland 782 Forage Harvester - seems to work fine mechanically but the electric controls were not working when I bought it.
I was able to get the controls for the discharge chute rotation and deflector working by cleaning a few connections and splicing one broken wire.
I am having trouble figuring out the wiring for the reversing gearbox actuator control - there is a double pole / double throw switch in the control box and on the harvester there are 2 wires to the actuator motor, 3 limit switches on a shaft that the actuator moves with 2 wires each and a red light.
I can jumper 12V power to the actuator motor and get it to run in both directions by reversing the power and ground wires but I am not sure how the limit switches and red light work in the wiring circuit.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this machine or can provide any advice on how the reversing gearbox wiring should be connected
thanks
Gary
