What's up guys,

Long time reader first time poster. :-) I've done a lot of research and can't come up with much so I was hoping someone on here could give me some insight. I have a Jacques Portable Power Saw with a 30" blade that was my fathers. It has been sittin for a really long time but after some TLC it runs like a champ. Does anyone know anything about these or the value of them? I read they were invinted to clear land for Lake Texoma but wasn't sure if it was true or not. Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Never heard that name. But the buzz saw sold for the Wards 2 wheel garden tractor you could set up that way or you could buy just a part of the buzz saw for that unit only. In the catalog like that. And I think things were made my simplicity

Haha! Yeah, I'm sure that's why they don't make them anymore. I doubt OSHA would approve of many of the tools they used back then today.

I have a lot of old farm magazines with ads for the Jacques saw, but I don't recall ever seeing one in person. Nice job! I've put a lot of hours in on fairly similar unit of an unknown make, and a few with a Gravely with the saw on the mower mandrel. They look terribly dangerous, but they date from an era when it was simply assumed anyone running one had enough common sense not to kill themselves or anyone else with it.
