What's It Worth

John Deere 210 disc--13 1/2' (called a 14'?), anyway neighbor/friend is willing to sell hers. Front discs are about 19 1/2" (originally 20"???) and rears are about 20 1/2" (originally 21"???). No apparent welds, breaks, etc. Comes with cylinder and hoses. Has single tires and they are shot. Also the hoses are shot. TractorHouse auction prices average just a bit over $1500. Local Craigslist prices are very similar. What should I offer? kelly

Start low and work your way up just don't go so low you offend her . A guy has some Steiger tractors I'm interested in but his prices are so high I can't even counter offer because I know it will offend him he thInks it's still 1990 and the machines are only ten years old

All the JD tandem disks that I sold new had the same even numbered disk front & rear. Sounds as if you have either a 13'9'' if disk are spaced 7-1/4'' or a 14'3'' if disks are spaced 9''. Keep in mind the 210 is designed as a secondary tillage tool not designed for hard soil. Also the double offset design causes it to fishtail if soil is undisturbed which will cause disk to hit things such as a fence when plowing close to them. As to price I'll guess $2000. I've recently seen a JD 310 on DFW CL for $2800 that on average is a much better plow.
