Hew Holland Knotter Problem

I have a NH 315 baler that it used Saturday that missed 15 bales out of 300. I baled 200 a few
weeks ago and it didn't miss any, seems random. This has been happening for awhile now. It is
also random which side it misses on. It has a new knotter on one side that only has a approx
2,500 bales through it. When it misses the twine for the bale that is missed is still attached to the
bale behind it. I will try to post a picture. I have adjusted to how the book shows but it does have
some wear in the linkages for the twine fingers that I do plan to replace. I have sharped the knifes
with a file. I use plastic twine that doesn't seem to make a difference if I switch rolls. It makes it
more frustrating that I pull a accumulater behind it and I will have to stop and remove the broken
bale every time. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Increase the tension at the twine box a little. Looks like the twine for the next bale is falling into billhook at the previous knot.

It's hard to tell from the pic exactly what is going on.... but the twine looks rather ratty. If it was me I would go back and sharpen the knives again and make sure the blade, in your hand, will easily cut the twine with modest pressure. It just looks like a ratty cut to me which suggests a dull knife in spite of what you suggest.
Beyond that, make sure the wiper arm is moving as prescribed in your book. I'd also check the tucker fingers. You might have to play with them if there's a lot of wear in their linkages...
