NH 273 pickup bearings issues

Hello last year i bought a 273 NH baler. I am in the process of replacing the 4 cam follower of the pickup reel. I bought the 4 bearings from Balers parts and service last year but had not time until now to install them.

Now my issues are 1st the bearing seems too big for the side hole, issue that could be solves quickly. The main issue is that it seem a part of the track is too narrow for the bearing, about 5 inches long the rest there is plenty of space. I checked all the measurements, the new bearings are 31.95 mm, NH parts website say 31.8 mm. So okay little difference but the problem is if memory serve me the old is 31mm and the track a part if 31.6 mm. I just can't get it the track doesn't seem bent at first sight and would too too narrow anyway for genuine NH bearing anyway.

So just wondering what you guys suggest i should do or have any ideas on what happened?

Sounds to me like they gave you the wrong bearing. Go back and check with them about it before you start cutting or trying to force it where it should be. Counter people at the dealerships are only people too and they do make mistakes. Just my thoughts, Keith

take them back, if they charge you a restock fee tell them if they could measure they would not be restocking. A baler is a precision machine, a 100th here a mm there and the thing won't work. get the right stuff. gobble

will go to my New Holland dealer and get the one they have in stock for a test, if it works i'll order the other 3.

It's too late for me to return them since i bought them 10 months ago just did not had time to but them in before until now. Lesson learned, next time i will check them up when i get them especially when it's ordered by internet.

Thanks to both of you
