Anyone ever use U Ship to get a piece delivered

I was wondering if anyone one here had experience getting something deliver or shipped using U ship or if there are any good free lance people that haul equipment . Mainly East of the Mississippi . Thanks

I have used uship many times. The first responses I get are from big companies who think I want to pay $2000 to move a $800 tractor moved. Ignore those and wait. Sometimes a good deal will come along. I had a car hauler bring a Super AV up from Missouri for $300. A couple years earlier, another car hauler, SMTA from Illinois was also $300. Both times I was told the original shipping order covered all costs for the round trip and that my money was mostly profit. Use good judgement as you may get a few shady responses but you can sort that out.

I used uShip last fall to ship a '76 Massey from Houston to Denver. Had a great experience with the guy who picked it up.

I used Uship last year. Had a Ford 4600 delivered to me in East Kentucky from Maryland. Was a very smooth transaction and I was very pleased. Like others have said, don't take the first offer. Be patient and wait.
