Hi all

I have some old misatched, busted feet on my scarfier. Wondering if the US has similar setups to these tines. IT looks like it used to be a planter of some sort as it has the tubes on it. Wonder what the 2 holes are for on the tines? To me the setup looks like it could be home made.

The feet look like it could be angle iron.

I am wanting to but new feet on it so doing some research.

as rick said they look like anhydrous ammonia shanks and knives. see picture
per ad they were $21 each, but if you only need the shovel you might could modify the knife

I have a similar plow, works good, really bust up the soil, almost like a poor man's chisel plow. the shovels are about 1" wide, was originally a AC snap couple field cultivator

I use it every year in my gardens. leaves the soil more level than a breaking plow.

re the anhydrous ammonia, i ve never hear off them, but as always the interweb is educating me:D

These could work but a $30 US each, i think i ll find a cheaper option.

Some more search and found something similar. I thinks its a ferguson cultivator or dearhorn.

Found the shoes, I think these look like they bolt on thru the two bolt holes that i have on my shanks, then the shoes bolt to them. Similar to the above

So getting closer.

Impossible to tell what you have from the first pictures, to much shade and dark and not plain enough. Not good enough detail. The red cultivator is a standard Dearborn or possibly Ferguson painted red row crop cultivator that had 13 shanks and was only to be used for cultivating and not ground working as those double point shovels indicate it was tried to be used as a chisel for ground work and missing some shanks, probably bent or broke because they are not made strong enough for the heavy ground work. Designed for sweeps or at most a spear point shovel for hard crusted soil and then only 3" deep. Post some good pictures like you were trying to take first prize in a picture contest and post them and then somebody might be able to figure out what you have.

Looks like a home made anhydrous set up for sure,
think you could put it back the way it was supposed
to be if you can find the frogs for the shovels, and
knock the other stuff off of it. May be cheaper to find
one that is set up correctly though.
