How to hang a JD350 mower on a JD2755 tractor

Just got a #350 7 foot sickle bar mower to mow pond banks and lane ditches.
Tractor to be used is a 2755. Have manuals for both the tractor and mower.

Seems like the tractor is too big for the mower. Example:
The mower book says to have the tractor drawbar between 14" and 17" off the ground.
The tractor drawbar is 20" and has no up and down adjustment.

The ends of the draft links do not lower enough to meet mower specs.

Although I'm not totally stumped, has anybody been down this road and have suggestions?
Thx

This is one method of securing the lift frame arm without using a drawbar.

Note that there is no drawbar on "Old John" Nancy's 48A.

Take a look at the photo below of the "anchored/secured" lift frame arm.

You might consider "fabricating" a couple of pieces of flat stock that resemble the yokes displayed below.

Adjust the draft links as short as possible.

Make the bottom of each yoke as long as necessary with several holes at various intervals.

Hope this helps.

Is your drawbar straight, or does it have an arched (offset or step)drawbar? An arched drawbar might be what you need so that you can gain a couple of inches that way. The drawbar is necessary as an anchor point for the chain to the arm that causes the end of the cutter bar to raise up higher when you pick up on the three point. Having the drawbar too high means that the end of the cutter bar won't rise up very much when you lift the three point.
I use a 350 mower on my 4020 to mow around the water tanks, and I believe that the dimensions on a 4020 are going to be at least as big as your 2755. JD is pretty good about keeping the hitch dimensions on everything pretty uniform, so I would be surprised if it works on a 4020 but not on yours.
You are aware that there is a narrow and a wide setting on the mower? My mower was set to narrow when I got it, and I had to flip the frame over to wide to use it on the 4020 and my 630.

The drawbar has an offset - and it is offset down.

Mower is set to the wide position.

Thx for the assurance that this is gonna work out OK.
We might need to fasten the drawbar chain as James has suggested (below)
