This year's big project for the hay mowing was to either buy a disc mower conditioner or rebuild the sickle drive on the Hesston 1110. Finished that effort today, very simple mechanism - the half way bar. Took some time and knuckle busting, but got it done.
This haybine sounded like a 50 cal machine gun prior to the rebuild. Ear plugs were a MUST and even then, it was very loud. Totally different now. You can run it and not feel like you are going to blow an ear drum.
Also bent into position a few guards and replaced about 4 sets of reel tines. Cut a few patches of hay around the barn to run it and also run-up all of my haying equipment.
Special thanks to rrlund for advice with removing part of the drive mechanism.
Used the 756 to give it a harder than usual a run and it did great. Narrow front makes for some square corners too!
