IH Hayloader Steel drive wheel

I have an ensilage cutter the same way on the wheels. I'm sure if I had one for parts a good welder could cut out a section and weld in a new one from a parts wheel and make it look and work real nice. Could do the same on a hay loader.

I don't know the size or shape of the wheel so would a rake wheel be the same to cut the bad part away and weld the piece of the rake wheel in. On New Idea the rim looks the same but the loader is 4" smaller than the rake wheel. Depending on how much is gone on the loader wheel could a small section of a different size be recurved to fit. Spokes easy to take care of with just weld in a piece of rod. and for rim If you cannot find a donar wheel you could take a quarter inch thick piece of flat steel the same width as the bad wheel and curve it to shape and weld it in. Would not look correct on a restored show piece but it would roll to move the loader. Might have to start doing that with rake wheels unless I find more of them for rakes I am rebuilding for use by the Amish.

I have a New Idea that needs to go.
The wheels are usable and the loader is about 75% complete.
I would be happy to give it to you instead of letting it go for scrap.
Distance is the problem.

Distance is the problem as the loaders are still wanted for use around here with a good one being in the thousand dollar range. But this is for western Ohio and eastern Indiana.

North east Ohio ,but I will take some , pictures and give dimensions , I think they can be remade successfully to function again . Just a hard headed Dutchman that won't give up
