Ancient JD 214 W/S Baler

Baled three tiny fields today. 96, 29 and 32 bales for a total of 157 by my math. NOT ONE broken wire or other problem of any kind!!! I love that old piece of junk when it works! And, all bales picked up and put under roof. Not bad for April, eh? Oh yeah, I know, I'm bragging and next time nothing will probably work at all, but I thought I'd better brag when I had the chance. : ) kelly

I fully understand the great sense of accomplishment. For those of us that spent most of our life chasing paper trails, compiling reports now totally our of date, and battling corporate politics, there is something surprisingly satisfying about a wagon load of neatly stacked hay or a barn laced with rows of hay bricks. Those old machines may look tired and rusty but beneath the chaff a good one will still do a nice bit of work.

Brag away, and be sure to get a picture or two.

WHADDIA YA MEAN, that bailer is ancient?????????????? Its a 1964 model. Heck, I was in HS then. Put up ALOT of hay made by one as there was only one bailer in the neighborhood that I helped people put up hay for. Heck, I thought you might be talking about the JD side shooter bailers. Now, they are KINDA old. Made bout the time I was born, 1946 or 7
