Vermeer TM800

There are a good disc mower. The grease in each cutterbar section is a pain to check/change as one must remove the cutter hat & top gear assembly. The quick change cutter blade feature is nice.

Jim, I saw you had bought one years earlier. Are you still running it? Are parts available? I'm looking at one that I don't think has been over many acres for $4500. Still have some research to do. Thanks for advice!

No I don't own the TM800 now because the elderly gentleman that was operating it for me hit an piece of concrete and bent cutterbar in a U shape. $4500 sounds cheap as I've never seen one priced that low. I suggest to check very closely the cutter bar gears for wear. I cut with a Vermeer M7030 on a caddy that has same type cutter bar & a Krone AM283S.

I owned one for 8 years. Was a very good mower. I would still have it if I hadn't decide to go to a mower/conditioner. Doesn't take much power to run it, easy to work on and you will love the quick change blade setup. I had no major problems with mine.
