Rubber Mounted Rake Teeth

Will NH teeth mount up? 256 rakes have 2-1/4" bars and 258 rakes have 2-1/2" bars. Rubber mount teeth have U shaped mounts that surround 75% of the bar.

(quoted from post at 12:06:39 04/24/17) I was thinking Messicks would have some good quality ones - they show my rake but I couldn't find the teeth

Messicks rake teeth $8.77 each

I have been using TSC rubber mount tines for probably six years. I replace around five per year. I always look at them because this topic comes up every year, and the ones that I am replacing predate the TSC tines

The NH part numbers for the 256 and 258 rakes will be less costly than the IH part number Jim referenced.

Not familuar with those rakes so I do not know how the angle for the hole is in the bar but on older McCormicks between the No. 5 4 bar rake and the steel wheel 4 bar enclosed gear rake the holes in the bar are at an entirely different angle and the teeth will not interchange because of that, The tooth for one put on the other would be sticking point up when trying to rake. So if thet fit diameter of bar check the angle the bolt goes through to mount them so you don't have some pointing 45" off from the rest.

Go to Shoups site and look them up. IHC, JD, NH teeth are all different, with different angles, etc. It'd be waaaay too easy if they were all the same!

I get them for a 256 NH at the Case IH dealer, some generic off brand in a bulk bin for about $7 CDN each.

They hold up well and look identical to the NH ones.
