I'm looking for the best place price wise to find the bearing holders/supports (the part that holds the bearings the shaft goes through to hold the blades) for IH 480 disk, if anyone out there can help me with this I would appreciate.

Thanks,
David G.

I've tried several web sites don't remember if I searched Shoupparts but I will as soon as I send this message.

Thanks for your reply,
David

Bearings and the common square or round bearing holder stamped out of plated steel are common at any bearing supply place, often Napa in town. Some nap as have gotten really dumb at serving farmers, but if you find tge good parts guy they can get them all by 10:00 the next day if not in stock. Most rural towns or regions end up with a cheap supplier that isn't very quick or helpful, and a good supplier that has inventory and smart folk to help for a couple more dollars. Locally Napa is cheap, Auto-something (they changed their name, I forget to what...) is the good in stock place 'here'. You would need to ask locals what is the place to go to there.

If you mean the stem or the casting that holds the bearings, that would be a Case IH part and you would need to go to a Case dealer, or get lucky and find a junk yard that was willing to sell one used off an old scrap machine.
