Grain drill

Does anyone know where I can find a seed chart for a John Deere model B, grain drill with six inch spacing. I over seeded this year and don't want that to happen again. A picture of the chart would also work. Thanks Gordy 612 986 6151

I agree it's nice to have the chart, but it isn't "dead-on" for each drill and specific seed, you still need to calibrate the drill.

A couple of quotes from ag extension sites:

"The seeding chart on your grain drill is a good start to determine seeding rate but may be significantly off target due to variations in seed size within species as well as wear and tear of the drill. So it makes sense to check the seeding rate."

"Seed charts provided by drill manufacturers give a good starting point for obtaining the desired seeding rate, but they may not be very accurate. Variables that can affect seeding rates include differences in seed size and shape among crop varieties (and sometimes seed lots), seed coatings or seed treatments, and seed density (bushel weight)."

HOPEFULLY you noted last year's setting(s) as a starting point.

Here's a picture of the chart that goes under the box lid. As strange as it sounds this chart is NOT in the B operator's manual, at least not in the revision I have.
