a heads up for anyone wanting to replace the floor in you manure spreader i found a place to buy Plastic / vinyl tong and groove 1 x 6 . Now it is not Cheap but it should last . I'll up date on how it goes , the one thing we will have to do is add in a few more cross members as it is a bit more flexable then we wanted .

You can buy it in full size sheats cut to fit made just for spreaders. That is what they are using in new spreaders. Can be gotten in both floor and side size pieces. And you would not need to add any steel as it is strong enough without doing that. I know a small short line implement maker that uses it in the new spreaders he builds mainly in horse drawn models. He is in Northeastern Indiana.

I installed the 1"x6" plastic tongue and groove over 15 years ago, not exactly a new thing. If you buy the better quality it's more than stable enough without adding extra crossmembers. You pay for what you get, mine is barely even worn and idiot proof to install, definitely worth it.

Well what we got IMHO is to flexible as with cross member spacing at 24 O C this is not going to work so i will have to add and place them on 12 O C . This is a first for me as i do not work on that many spreader. and i do not stand behind my work when it comes to spreaders. The ORG. was 3/4 x12 Fiberglass panels ship laped and it did not stand up to that chunk of concrete dumped in it .
