2 row planter identification

This two row planter appears to be very old but in great condition. At first I thought it was made by John Deere be of the paint but after pressure washing off 1/2" of barn dust it has blue paint below the green. I have been unable to find a picture of this planter online to help determine the make or model. Just by looking at construction and the steel grain boxes and lids I'm guessing it's over 30 years old maybe older.

Anyone know what make or model this is? Would it have any value to still be used or should it just be yard art?

Is that a planter or some kind of side dresser? Those look like flex fertilizer tubes on it.

I also think it is a side dresser, the hopper bases are mounted exactly like my JD 23C unit planters. May be Deere after all.

Brendon is right, a John Deere #18 planter. They were popular here during the 1960's. We called them blackland type planters. The units could be mounted
on front cultivator or rear mounted like yours. Use able ? Yes if have need for one. Do a search on John Deere parts there you can some info on them.
