Friend sent me this picture from Florida. Any ideas as to what it is? It has a 20 PTO shaft on the other side. Thanks

Looks like a huge fan, maybe the PTO is hooked up to the differential. Don't they use fan to circulate the air to keep the citrus trees from freezing during cold snaps? I think I have heard about that, but I don't remember the details.

Pond aerator. Should have a long tongue and pto shaft. Back into the water and use to increase oxygen levels in ponds. Very common for catfish farming in the MS Delta and other places as well. This appears to be a shop built version.

First impression, a bad attempt at a windmill. Too heavy, too low.....

Second thought, a water wheel. Back into a flowing creek, run the driveshaft by pto to a generator.

After reading the other replies, obviously an airiator. back in a pond, run with a pto onto the driveshaft.

Years ago I was delivering hay to a dairy.

They had one like that mixing up a manure pond.
The brakes on the tractor failed and in it went, fully submerged.
They asked me if I could pull it out, I said sure if you get a chain hooked to it.
He paid one of his south of the border workers $100 to dive in and hook up the chain, he did (he had to literally dive in).
Will never forget that one.
