Opinions on Disc?

This is a 7ft disc for sale. I can read Allis on the frame. $1200 is the asking price. Anyone have one of these?

That's about a fair price around here, but it is not a finishing disc. That thing will probably work ground up and cut stalks up,
but it will also leave some pretty good ridges.....

That design is called an offset disc. If heavy enough, it"s used for primary tillage....ie, in place of a moldboard plow. I would say it"s a light offset., good for sod after plowing. A rear mounted tine harrow would leave the ground a bit smoother.

They pull hard. Looks like that one is set at the max, so you could move the gangs in and it would pull easier. Those disks are used a lot for pasture renovation.

A local equipment jockey had a similar one for about $600 a year ago. I wanted to look at it, but it sold before I could get there, which could mean he priced it too cheap.

Far as I can see , that's a fair price. Looks very solid and un-used and with cylinder also. Looks adjustable for angle if you need to staighten it out some. Heavy built and should penetrate good.
