John Deere M Power Depth Control

What are the chances that any of you guys can help me track down the cast nuts for the power depth control on an M? I need one but would like to get my hands on a pair.

Would you happen to have a part number for the nuts? The only nuts I can find on the depth control are part number 14H199a, but I
dont think they would be cast. These are also still available from JD parts.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to track that part number down. I do not have a part number yet for the nut. The M parts book doesn't actually show the cast nut, it shows an extended long hex nut, #AA 4963R. This actually is the capture bolt for when the power depth control is attached to the implement attachment bracket bolted on the bottom of the tractor. The round cast nut is threaded at 5/8" then a 3/8" or so rod is welded to the cast as a handle. I have seen them in several pictures of tractors. I suppose it was a later thought or after market.

Checked the parts catalogs for the M, 40, 420 and 430 and the nut you described is not listed.

However, they do exist.

Take a look at the photo below of the nut you described that is on "Sparky" our 51M.

Hope this helps.

I know they exist as I have one of them already. Appreciate the suggestion, I'll try Farmer John.
