Dad has a 456SS so I am familiar with John Deere balers. Can anyone tell me about the 457SS model? Is it a good baler? I am looking at one. 2004 model with about 10,000 bales on it. Appears to be in very good shape. What is its value? I'm in WI.

Thanks

I don't have an knowledge on a 457 as I know of none sold in this area. I presume it's similar to my regular(non SS) 467 which has over 22,000 bales on it. Does this 467 have Mega-wide pickup. I really like the Mega-wide PU on my baler

Don't get too alarmed just yet. More information is needed. I've been baling with JD rd balers since their inception and know most of their quirks. There are several things that contribute to a JD rd baler built after the 410/510 models that contribute to difficulty with starting bales. JD hasn't altered their baler design much until one gets to the 900 series balers which I know very little about.
