who has mounted a camera on a loader?

I was thinking it would be pretty cool to mount a small camera on a loader to fill in the blind spots. I've got to think someone has already done this and could save me the headaches of the learning curve maybe recommending equipment they bought. There are complete "Cab" camera systems on this site for about $350-$600 but it looks to be much cheaper for at least a working cheap DYI cobble. I see cameras on Amazon for around $10 dollars and then I would have to buy a screen which appears to be around $15. They sell car "backing up" cameras but these have built in grid lines so wouldn't work well. So looking for anyone who has done it or just general thoughts on the practicality. Mounting point thoughts?

I like the idea. Problem is going to be seeing the screen when outdoors in the sun. If you have a cab tractor a cheap display might work? I would make sure whatever display I bought would work in bright light.

Walmart.com. 60 foot cord. I mounted my camera on a strong magnet. Move it where I need it. Easy to put a cigarette lighter plug on it. I use it everywhere. Works great turning a tractor and baler left off the highway.

I think I got a picture

Thanks Kabat, that seems like a workable easy solution, an all in one kit with plenty of length in the wire, fifty feet should do fine. It also says it's readable in sunlight. Does it have the yellow gridlines of a backup camera?

Yes it does. I don't even notice them anymore. I use the camera for everything. It has 3 wires. A black is ground, a red for hot, and green goes to reverse in a car. I hooked red and green together in a plug for cigarette lighter. You will love it. Only thing is it has a button to reverse it, I hit that once, backwards confusing.

On order, bought the one you listed but also found one for $49.99 which looks to have almost the same specs, link below. Was afraid of the cheap price with no reviews so decided to spend the extra bucks.

If anyone buys the cheap one let us know how well it works.

One of the other tractor sites has a thread about this. People were buying backup camera systems from Amazon and giving them good reviews.
