Age range for old McCormick Deering hay wagon

Well sorry picture is tilted... I purchased this hay wagon frame from my father in law. It's labeled as McCormick Deering, which according to my extensive Wikipedia research means 1922-1947. Just curious how best to date it. I know function is most valuable, but I honestly didn't expect 1947 to be the "new" date which further sparked my interest. Is there a good way to better date such a hay wagon frame?

Check parts books for spoke verses disk wheels and straight verses tapered roller bearings. That will get you a start on year. Also any part numbers cast into wheels or any part numbers any place else.

I'm no expert but I have a similar McCormick running gear with the steel disc wheels. I have a parts catalog that I will try to scan a page to send that may help you date based on casting numbers your steel wheels. The "All Purpose Truck" was manufactured from 1932-1940. The "Improved All Purpose Farm Truck" was manufactured from 1940-mid 50's I think. Then came the No. 6 Farm Truck but I don't think it had spoke wheels as an option.

You mention that yours is labeled as a McCormick Meeting, can you post a picture of that as I am restoring mine and trying to match the original font but there's not enough to get it right.

Also, what kind and size tires are on yours as I will need those as well.

Thanks

Hopefully this works. I am trying to add pics of the catalog page I scanned. I also forgot to mention that the Wisconsin historical society has a lot of information relative to McCormick Deering. Their page should come up in a google search for McCormick Deering.

I have one similar here that belonged to my grandfather. My father (born in 1936) said they had it when he was a little guy. It had steel wheels initially but the local blacksmith cut the spokes off and welded 15" rims to allow for rubber tires. Handy little wagon. I have a 6x10 rack on it. Good around the place for firewood or fencing. I wouldn't put a forage box on it though, haha...

Are you able to get me a pic of the stenciling for how the running gear is labeled? Also, what brand and size tire are you running?

Thanks
