So I guess you are no longer interested in the pulleys we talked about? The snow has melted but with all the rain they might be under water now:( Well at least you do not have to shovel rain. Your mower looks good and appears like you could still put it back on a tractor as a side mount.Building something like than is fun. Tom

Hi Tom, I decided to go ahead and buy a new pulley and fabricate the frame. Yes it was a fun project this winter. Yep, I can still use it on our 2510 if and when I get a new engine for it. I originally thought I might put the mower on our 530 but decided against it.

Yes you are correct. It is very similar to a 350. I looked at various 350s for a couple of years. Most good ones around here were in the $1500 range. We had the 50 and I spend around $600 for the pulley, belts, bearings and the PTO shafts. We had the steel for the frame.

If you're into JD mowers I have a Model 10,50 and two 350 mowers I'd sell the whole works for $1000.The one 350 will work, the other needs the big bearing in the drive and the 10 and 50
have good drives but the mounting hardware is incomplete.I'm in VA too.

Do you have it so that the bar raises all the way to vertical with the hydraulic cylinder? If so, could you show a close up of that mechanism where the cylinder attaches to the bar? Nice job.

Garry

Garry, no it doesn't raise to vertical. It goes to about 20 degrees same as if side mounted on a 2510. The 3 point will raise it off the
ground higher though.
