Hey guys new here and new to farming equipment. First a little bout me. I started a small farm when I left the military and am slowly working toward going full time for my self. I have a few older pieces of equiment because I could pay outta pocket as to not go in debt. I grow produce amd pasture rasied poultry. I just had 5 new acres cleared and bought an older seed drill to plant or amd little more property I rent for bailage. I put some oil all over it and got a few minor things working but a gear cog broke on me that turna the seeders inside the box. Its like a slip cooler that allows for everyhting to engage when the disc are down. I don't know whats it's called or have any idea where to find it.

Case ih dealer might have the part, to order anyhow. It might be very expensive.

You need the model number of your drill.

You can look online on the Case site under parts.

It was not uncommon for a good welder to rebuild a gear like that, file it down again. They don't carry a lot of pressure, except when you don't
free everything up first with a crescent wrench..... ;)

It is getting harder to find used parts for such items, a lot was hauled away as scrap iron a few years ago when iron prices were high. That used
to be where you got a piece like that.

I doubt cih has any thing left for the Case made drill,, if you can post a pic of it and where it was on the drill I may have one from a parts drill but I need to know what you are working on exactly
cnt

Ive tired to post a pick a couple of times. The main seeders are not free and thats why it broke the cog. Looks like a slip clutch gear that engages and disengaged when the disc are up or down allowing the seeders to turn.
