Years for Oliver

What year was the Oliver name last used on machinery, mostly interested in grain drills. And when was the steel box drill built? What was the model number? the wood box drill?

I want to say 75,but somebody correct me if I'm wrong. There were several model numbers of drills in wood and steel.

Dad bought a new Oliver press drill with steel boxes soon after WWII. It had a more accurate seed delivery system than conventional drills sold at the time. Dad gave it to older brother when he started farming. Brother didn't take care of anything; I imagine that it just rusted away in the trees somewhere.

Checked tractor data and it looks like 75 was last year for any Oliver tractors so probably. I was sure that it had to be older than the 20 years the auctioneer thought.

Is the auctioneer aware that 20 years ago was 1997? seems screwy to me, but 20 years ago isn't that long any more. He was only off by over atleast 20 years...

I think he just wasen't thinking that day. Heard that when they were walking through the building all at once ground gave way and he fell straight down about to his waist in a ground hog hole. Sounds like the machinery has not been moved in 30-40 years.
