Needed Round Link #55 Chain

I bought an antique pedal powered broom winder and it has a round flat #55 chain on it. I bought new #55 chain that has the sharp edges and it will not work because it hits the gears and will not go through the frame without snagging. Does anyone have about a foot of the old style #55 chain? It is very thin and flat and the sides are rounded instead of flat metal. I can post some pics if needed. Just need a patch to repair mine. Thanks

shot a picture of your chain. I think I know what your talking about but I am not sure without seeing it. I may have some links.

Are you looking for "malleable chain" vs. the "flat steel" chain you have now?

Here's a couple of examples.
