John Deere 400 Grinder Mixer Parts

I am helping a friend rebuild the gearbox on a JD 400 grinder mixer, and we are needing to find the top gearbox cover. It looks to maybe of had some salt run thru it over the years and resulting in some small holes on the gearbox cover. The part is NLA from Deere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try Bowie Equipment in Tipton IA phone 563-886-6946. Jim is great to work with,we got a 400 grinder bevel gear from him last week. 400 grinder parts especially gear box parts are very hard to find. Usually the top seal goes bad allowing feed to slowly fill the gear box untill it locks up busting about everything.We have two 400 mixers here on our farm. Tom

If it's structurally sound,can you just clean it up and plug the holes with a coating of JB Weld or something?
