Vicon CM2400

I'm looking for used gears that run in cutterbar for this disc mower. Checking to see if anyone may have them. Also advice for putting back together. Besides replacing broken gears, what else should be replaced? I noticed there are brass looking seals on each side of each gear. Can these be reused if they appear to be ok. Advice from anyone who has worked on these would be much appreciated.

I had one of those I bought used, turned out the gear box was bad, did the math and decided buying a new gearbox was the best
route. I didn't have to repair the cutter bar, so can't help you much. If you have gone to the trouble to take the thing apart I
would put
new seals in it. AIRC there is a big O ring under each of the cutter heads which I would replace. I assume you know how to time
the cutter heads, it's not difficult, but check carefully before applying full power.

Oil in cutter bar is checked with it in upright position. When oil runs out of filler plug it is full. I was told by a factory
rep for another brand that they lasted better a little low, than a little high. As a preventive measure I tried to change the
gearbox oil and cutter bar oil every year. Oil is cheaper than gears. That machine with the three blades cuts REAL well.
