MF Baler at Work

Not my video....

MF baler at work along with a MF 135 in front of it. IMHO - windrows are heavy and the baler and 135 seem to plow through it no problem and
pounding our some nice/tight square bales.

Enjoy...

I found the hay rake more interesting than the baler. Never seen a rake like that one. I guess that was European equipment? MF made some good balers. I still have a Model 12. I don't know what model the one was in the video?

No comments on the old combine going down the road? Several guys have rakes like that around me. Saw one lady raking leaves with it this fall.

That rake was throwing more out the right side than ida stood for, and I rake with an old steel wheel 4 bar JD

I'll stick with a bar rake. Buddy has one of those, brand new actually! You HAVE to have the 540 RPM up for it to do a good job, and it really throws a lot of hay all over the place if it is very heavy. Kind of an odd little thing, but it really fluffs up the windrow and makes it dry quick!!

Our Massey 12 was a great baler. I did a little work to the knotters and flywheel, it would only miss at a twine switch or a bad spot in the twine. it could really swallow a lot of hay. When we were running short of time and borrowed a neighbor's jd baler, the pickup was constantly getting plugged in windrows that our #12 would take in no problem.

I saw that, it looked like it might have been a Massey 780 special, we had one but it was a tanker not a bagger like the one which went past.
But a nice clip of a Massey-Ferguson 20 baler at work behind a very early 135.

I never baled straw when I had to dress like that. The real fluffy windrows makes it look like more straw is going thru than actually is. It helps make even bales raked wide and fluffy. still heavy straw.

That baler looks nothing like my MF224, which eats the hay a lot better than the JD336 that I had before it.
