On my Meyer spreader the right bottom auger is moved back 1.25" from the front, is this okay or normal or is there something going wrong, I feel like I am getting OCD over this! LOL I checked the T post and do not see any broken weld and the bushings are good there, the auger is what has moved not the shaft, I checked the front where it is in the sprocket it it has not moved. I called the Dealer at Strawberry and asked one of the guys in the shop and he said a bolt has sheared off but for the life of me don't see any place that a bolt would go through it. My last load I had to go up a steep grade and it was bouncing some, and I would think when I fill it and turn it on it should shove the auger forward. So am I getting to worked up about this or not? Thanks in advance.

I had a 3254 that did that. It happened on both augers eventually. I don't remember right off hand, but it had something to do with the bearings behind the drive sprockets. All I remember is that it was the beginning of the end for it. It moves them back in those rear carriers too,and that ain't good either.

Well I found a parts manual pdf on the net and looked at how it was all made and took another look at it and I guess it is made to move some like that, if any thing the t post is bent back some, not enough to see it all that well, but the t post can pivot some and the other auger is shoved up tight to the front, so if pulled back and the right pulled forward would only be around 1/2" from the front of the tank. So I am going to keep running it and if it breaks down you can just say I told you so! LOL

On mine, those rear carriers finally wore right through the augers and the back end fell right off both of them. I found some pipe that went inside of them and welded them back together, but after a few years, one broke off again. It went to the crusher after that.
