Ford Big Blue spreader. I will get a picture when she's done.

They aren't common around here anymore either. My Grandpa had a tandem axle Big Blue spreader in the '70's, and a chopperbox, too. Both traded in the late '70's. I know where there is one about the same size as yours, and I think I saw a Big Blue chopper box yesterday, about 20 miles from me.

We have one very similar to yours except ours has taller thinner tires and ours doesn't have upper beaters or whatever the proper name is. I remember reading an article in I believe heritage iron that talked about how so of the manufactures like Ford outsourced implements that broke down more often such as spreaders so their name wouldn't be directly associated to it. Kinda a marketing thing. I can't remember who built the big blue spreaders but the info should be somewhere.
