Need Bolts for Gannon/Woods Earthcavator Blade

I need to replace the bolts that hold the blades on my 65" wide (I think Model 100) Gannon/Woods Earthcavator Blade. Messicks lists them on their site, but does not have any stock and can't get them from Woods. They are a 5/8" NC bolt with a flathead/stove bolt combo head and set into a countersunk hole in the blade. A regular stove bolt has a poor fit to that hole, and I would much prefer the correct bolt.

Sounds like a simple plow bolt which now days are getting harder to find. My local farm and home place use to have them but they sold what they had this past summer and will not be getting more in. You might try fastenal

Measures .65" across flats, and like I said 5/8" thread

Plow Bolt is correct !

Using that search term found plenty of sources for both flat head and dome head 5/8 plow bolts. Thanks !

Just about any farm equipment dealer worth a hoot will have #3 plow bolts in that size. They are a generic hardware item. I bet they are on
eBay, amazon, and any number of other sources.

Always happy to help if and when I can. The plow type bolt is used to also bolt sickle bar guards on so that is why I noticed the farm and home lace was doing away with selling them because I need a few to install a few new guards

Plow bolt, probably available many
places online but I buy from McMaster
Carr, fair prices and top quality unlike
unknown eBay and Amazon parts

A # 3 plow bolt is quite soft. What you have is a Grade 8 or better bolt that is commonly used on road grader, snow plow cutting edges. Any industrial equipment dealer (John Deere, Cat ect.) will have them. The John Deere part number starts PB (plow bolt) PB625250 would be .625 (5/8") 2.50 (2 1/2" long. Easy parts #'s. Must have been designed by a parts person and not an engineer. Ha, ha.

A #3 plow bolt refers only to the style of the bolt head. Just like most hardware types,, plow bolts are available In different hardnesses. Some are grade 5 and most are grade 8.
