Sandwich corn sheller

Looking at buying a 4 hole Sandwich corn sheller circa 1900 in good shape mounted on a Sandwich cart with the elevators and drags included.
Any ideas on the value of something like this? Thanks, Mark

No idea on value but New Idea bought out the Sandwich line of machinery and moved things from Ill to Coldwater Ohio

Getting fewer and farther between, I sold an old sandwich cylinder sheller about 8 years ago and got about 850 but wanted it kept local I've kept my lid pre John Deere Marseilles shelters like you are talking about very early 1900 vintage stuff

I think you did not realize there was a company called Sandwich that was located in Sandwich, Ill that made machinery. New Idea purchased the company in the early 30's. Have exact year around here someplace.

I don't know if you know that New Idea became about because of their manure spreader that was the most popular item they ever made. The second most popular item they ever made was the hay rake and that was designed by Sandwich and is the reason that New Idea bought out the Sandwich Mfg. Co. in the early 30's. And the result of that buyout is that the New Idea that came from the Sandwich design became the most popular hay rake ever made in the 30's, 40's & 50's. And I think that New Idea No. 4 rake is still the most desired model of any rake ever built since. Cannot find enough of them for rebuilding to meet demand as of now.

There was a 6 hole with no drags that bought $2000 on ebay a couple years ago. I know of a 2 hole portable with no drags that brought right at $1000. I have a 2 hole eureka and I gave $800 for it. I dont think that the drags add a lot to values.
