No,hadn't even given it any thought. I just assume the higher the lot number in the series on a certain piece, the later it was made. I don't know which series of numbers goes with which piece though.

I dont have things handy for what I have but for the corn shreader the letter in front of the lot number is H that I suppose stands for harvestor. I know most of the books do not have that information in them. Just guessing now but I think for hay rakes it is R, For Mowers it is M, for spreaders a S followed by the lot number. I don't know where 3/4 of my books are.

It's too darned cold to look at lot numbers right now. When I get around to it,I'll see what it is on the manure spreader, the two 325 pickers, the 8 roll and 12 roll husking beds.

My picker books do not have lot numbers, the books are for the No. 8, 20, 21, 301, 304 321 but P could very well stand for Picker as a Hay rake the lot numbers are R. And for the old Husker-Shreader it is H evidently for husker. The mower I have I don't know if it has a tag on it but it is not where I can look at it. But I believe that all their lot numbers started with the first letter of the name of the type of machine it was. Have a lot more books but not handy.
