PTO hydraulic pump IH 900 planter

Looking at a IH 900 planter with 1000 RPM pump. Would rather have 540 pump. Would the pump off my 5100 white planter work to run the IH 900 planter? Thanks.

Yes as long as it puts out 8 gal/min and not over 8 rows larger than 8 rows needs a pump around 17 keep in mind the gpms is rated at 540 rpm the larger the gpm above these specs the less engine rpm you can run which will result in fuel savings Have often thought about going to a larger gpm pump on mine so I can reduce tractor rpms.

Thanks. The 900 is a 6 row and the 5100 is a 4 row. The 900 is on auction tomorrow. 90% chance of snow so I hope they don't cancel.

Where you located. I'm in North Carolina we are at about 15 degrees. First cold weather this year last week we had 70 degree days. snow is not fun at an auction
