I'm new at this but here goes.......Hey, just wondering... if the baler rolls a 5x5 bale but you just want a 5x4 bale, is it any problem to stop it at 4 ft tall?

It should make a bale the same size as the NH850s I use. Book says you can make a bale form 3 foot to 5.5 foot. Most people call them 6X6 bales because they are 5.5X5.5. So you can make a bale from 3 foot up to 5.5 foot me I make mine about 5.5X5 foot.

Yeah on the auto-wrap models there is a manual trip arm that you attach a rope to. When you get to the size you want you yank the rope and it starts the twine wrapping.

On the manual wrap models you just start putting the twine on as soon as you hit the size you want.

You can make the smaller bale but I'd set it to make the hard centers and bale so the bale would get tight quicker than normal.

Another thing to think about is the smaller the bale the harder it is to get it to eject out of the baler. When I do big rounds and the last bit of the hay is done and have a bale that is say 3 foot in diameter it takes opening and closing the gate 2 or 3 times plus engaging the PTO a couple times
