Tim, I lost mine several times. Got some exercise in walking the fields to find it. Finally wised up and painted it day-glo orange, which aided greatly in recovery. Good luck.

if you do small square bales it will probably show up between the knives on your baler next year. I think the tire trick mentioned below only works with hay hooks
