Looked at a mod. 500 3-point broadcast spreader today. Looked like it was hardly used. The widow doesn't know what it's worth and I can't find a new price on line. It's for fertilizer and seed but can it work for lime? I don't really "need" it but it would be nice to have. What would be a fair price to offer?

They sell for the $500-700 range new depending on the exact brand. They are handy to have around. I have a King Cutter one that O bought at auction for $350 15 years ago.

Have one I bought new on a spring promotion sale from a local farm and garden store. Paid $450 for it 5 years ago. Doesn't get used very often, but handy when needed for smaller areas needing fertilizer.

Very good units there are quite a bunch of them all made the same, branded different. As others said $5-700 new so figure 1/2 used. I would make sure the drive shaft is there and make sure you clean the metal plates in the bottom. I dismantle them when I am done to stop rust.
